Officials from Abidjan will brief members of the media on their mission last month to the United States to strengthen the sister city relationship between the Ivoirian economic capital and San Francisco, California, during a press conference at the American Embassy on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at 9:30AM.
The Deputy Governor of Abidjan, Samuel Mobio will present projects that are being planned to improve Abidjan’s health, business, and cultural sectors. The prominence of this evening can help to bring attention and support to the work that officials from Abidjan and San Francisco have already been deeply engaged in to achieve these goals.”
The Embassy’s gala, “Lights of San Francisco,” will take place on Saturday, September 9, 2006, and will include celebrated American singer Tori Robinson and popular Ivoirian artist Oren’Tchy.
