Access to consular premises is allowed during working hours ONLY, unless otherwise authorized. Non-Immigrant visa services are by appointment ONLY, Monday through Thursday, between 7:45 am and 9:30 am.  After 9:30 am, access to the Consular Section will be authorized for official government travelers ONLY.

Applicants requesting Diplomatic/official visas should drop off their DS-160 confirmation page, passport and diplomatic note or official letter verifying travel between 10:30 am and 11:30 am. Monday through Thursday. No appointment is needed.

For tourist, business, student, and exchange visas (B1/B2,F,M,J) the fee is $160 (as of 18 March 2015, CFA 100,000) and must be paid directly at the Consular Cashier Window before the interview. For some visa classes and nationalities, additional issuance fees may apply. Current information on all types of non-immigrant visa fees can be found here.


The following items are not permitted on the premises of the United States Consulate:
Weapons of any kind or size, sharp metal or glass objects, razor blades, liquids, bottles, powdery substances, umbrellas and electronic or battery-operated equipment (including cell phones, radios, tape recorders, cameras, personal digital assistants, computers).

Visa Waiver Travelers

  • Attention Visa Waiver Travelers

    Effective January 12, 2009, international travelers who are seeking to travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program are now subject to enhanced security requirements. All eligible travelers who wish to travel under the Visa Waiver Program must apply for authorization using the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA)
