The Rational Pharmaceutical Management Plus (RPM Plus) Program addresses the enormous gaps in the developing world between the demand for essential drugs and health commodities and their availability, and between their availability and appropriate use–by both providers and consumers.

Effective pharmaceutical management is especially crucial in developing countries, due to the impact of widespread disease and poverty.

Even when pharmaceuticals are available, they are often used incorrectly. Changing the ways in which providers, patients, and the public use pharmaceuticals and essential health commodities is one of the most complex challenges in health care reform today.
