Visit of Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Holt to Côte d’Ivoire
Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for International Organization Affairs Victoria Holt traveled to Côte d’Ivoire March 21-24, 2012 to meet with Ivorian and international organization officials to discuss ongoing peacekeeping, reconciliation and security efforts. DAS Holt also visited sites outside Abidjan to see first-hand the progress made in restoring stability to areas that have been affected by conflict.
During her visit, Deputy Assistant Secretary Holt met with government and UNOCI officials including Minister in Charge of Defense Koffi Koffi Paul, Presidential Chief of Staff Marcel Amon Tanoh, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Chef de Cabinet, Allou Allou Eugène and a broad range of others including Acting Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General Arnauld Akodjenou, and representatives of several international organizations, including OCHA, UNHCR and the WFP.
