On July 12, 2005, the new Embassy of the United States of America in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire was opened. It is the largest embassy in West Africa and will allow the diplomatic operations in Côte d'Ivoire to be greatly enhanced through more centralized and efficient services. The Embassy is the result of three years of work by Americans and Ivoirians working side by side on the project. This section includes comprehensive information, photos, and other details on the construction and features of the new Embassy.
